Before You Get Started
The NACM Automated Credit Reference Service is designed for companies that are not members of NACM and have been directed here by one of our participating companies.
You will need the unique access code provided by the company requesting the credit reference. Each referring company has its own access code. NACM South Atlantic cannot provide or replace that code.
A Faster Way to Provide a Trade Credit Reference
Traditional credit references can require emails, phone calls, paperwork, and repeated follow-up. NACM’s Automated Credit Reference Service provides an efficient alternative by allowing authorized companies to retrieve available trade credit information electronically.
Once registered, you can search for the company whose reference you need, confirm the correct business, and print the available trade credit information for your records.
How the Automated Credit Reference Service Works
Register
Complete a one-time registration before accessing the Automated Credit Reference system.
Enter Your Access Code
Use the unique access code provided by the company that directed you to NACM.
Find the Business
Search for the company using its phone number or business name and address.
View & Print
Select the appropriate company from the search results and print the available trade credit reference for your records.
What Information Is Included?
The Automated Credit Reference provides commonly requested trade credit information that can help a credit professional evaluate a customer’s payment experience.
Information available depends upon the data reported for the account.

- Date Account Opened, when available
- System Calculated ADP
- System Calculated DBT
- Recent High Credit
- Current Account Balance
- Aging Balances — Current, 30, 60, 90 and 120 days
- Quarterly Average Balance Summary for one year

Who can use the Automated Credit Reference Service?
The service is intended for companies that are not NACM members and have been directed to the system by a participating company.
Where do I get my access code?
Your access code must be provided by the company that referred you to the Automated Credit Reference Service. NACM cannot provide the referring company’s unique code.
Do I have to register every time?
No. Registration is a one-time process. Save your registration information so it is available when you need another reference.
Are complete business credit reports available?
Yes. More comprehensive credit reporting services, including access to the NACM National Trade Credit Report, are available
to NACM members.
